Educating During a Pandemic: How Local Schools Transformed and What this Means for our Future Workforce

Over the course of a single week in early March, schools across Northern Kentucky were asked to transition to a NTI (non traditional instruction) model for teaching and learning; and K-12 education was dramatically changed. Despite this overnight pivot, local districts rose to the challenge and implemented new systems for staff, students and families that kept learning and the preparation of our future workforce top of mind.

Join this timely conversation representing various viewpoints on how K-12 schools continued to educate despite the barriers of a pandemic and what this means for K-12 education looking ahead.

Featuring:
Opening remarks from Amy Razor, Executive Director, NKCES

David Rust, Superintendent, Campbell County Schools | President, NKCES
Jason Steffen, Principal, Mary A. Goetz Elementary
Erika Bowles, Principal, Ballyshannon Middle School
Julia Pile, Boone County Schools Board Member | Parent
Juli Russ, Student | RYL (Regional Youth Leadership) Class of 2019

Moderated by:
